How We Began

January 2005

It all started at Great Lakes Assembly, LLC (GLA), a modular assembly and supply chain management company that launched as a joint venture with Honda-owned Midwest Express, Inc. GLA produces automobile center console modules, tire and wheel assemblies, power train accessory modules, chassis, and engine components. Learn more here.

 


May 2007 

Next came Gulf Shore Assemblies, LLC (GSA), a modular assembly and supply chain management company that launched as a joint venture with Honda-owned Midwest Express, Inc. GSA produces automobile tire and wheel assemblies and fuel cell components. Learn more here.

 


October 2008 

Then came Indiana Assemblies, LLC (IA), a modular assembly and supply chain management company that launched as a joint venture with Honda-owned Midwest Express, Inc. IA produces tire and wheel assemblies, alternative fuel cell components, and power steering hose components. Learn more here.

 


January 2011 TO WHO WE ARE TODAY

This culminated with Billy R. Vickers establishing Modular Assembly Innovations (MAI) as an Ohio LLC. MAI acquired 51% ownership of GLA, GSA, and IA in a joint venture with Honda-owned Midwest Express, Inc. (MEI). With Mr. Vickers' leadership, along with a savvy team of professionals, the companies have grown to over $1 billion in revenue and employs 281 associates.
