For the Largest Central Ohio Minority-owned Businesses – Modular Assembly Innovations ranked No. 1 in 2021

Central Ohio’s minority-owned businesses have a significant economic impact, both within and outside the region, to the tune of $1.12 billion dollars in revenue and 1,657 local employees.

Companies listed are based in Central Ohio and 51% or more owned by members of minority groups, including African Americans, Native American, Asian Americans and Hispanics. Eight-six percent of listed companies are 100% minority-owned.

After a challenging year for all businesses, in our list survey we asked the question, “What’s next for your business? Are you optimistic about the future?”

A few expressed “cautious” optimism and one voiced concern about finding funding to hire more employees, but the large majority of the 37 answers received were upbeat and excited about future possibilities. A few quotes:

• “We are seeing an increase in our opportunities. The projects that were on hold last year are coming back.”
• “We are optimistic and have already expanded by purchasing new equipment, investing in training, providing benefits and expanding our facility.”
• “Opening a second location, and adding staff.”
